3gp files use the 3GPP protocol that plays on modern mobile/cell phones. We have tested them on a Nokia N80, 6680 and e61 where they play fine, we'd love to hear reports of other success.

Transfering the files to a Nokia 6680

To transfer the files to my Nokia 6680, I use the Nokia PC Suite on an XP laptop. I copy the videos from my hard-drive to the phone's 'videos' directory using the File Manager inside the PC Suite. The videos can be played using the built-in Gallery and Real Player on the phone.

Playing these files

These videos will also play on a computer via QuickTime, though the resolution is tiny.

The resolution of these videos is 176x144 pixels. Roughly the file will be 500k per minute of video. There are no restrictions on how you use these videos...please have a bit of fun with them. Let us know if you like mobile video, and what else you could see being useful on a mobile phone.
